Carbon offsetting is a way to help reduce or "cancel-out" carbon emissions. The concept would be to purchase carbon offsets to make it easier and more cost-effective for individuals and/or organizations to try and offset their carbon emissions. This helps us achieve further global emission reductions than we would have otherwise achieved. We would like to offer information on a few carbon offsetting options so you have the opportunity to offset your carbon emissions travelling to the ISIRC conference.

Atmosfair is a climate protection organization with a focus on travel. They operate active climate protection, including the compensation of greenhouse gases through renewable energies. Atmosfair currently achieves 90% of the COâ‚‚ savings according to the CDM Gold Standard, the strictest available standard for climate protection projects. Atmosfair also develops small projects according to the Gold Standard Microscale.
